The Junior Software Engineer will: Chimera Technologies is hiring

• Taking complete ownership of all user-reported problems and prompt resolution.
• Researching issues, diagnosing problems, troubleshooting, and fixing solutions for system-related tasks.
• Following the normal procedure for escalating unresolved matters to relevant internal teams.
• Solving problems and fixing issues on your own.

Requirements: Chimera Technologies is hiring

• Deep Java and API experience.
• Experience with JSP, XSLT, Selenium and unit testing.
• Review support tickets, and business root cause analysis (RCA), and build solutions.
• Knowledge of the insurance domain is a plus.
• This can perform an end-to-end test on the manual application before closing a ticket.
• Familiarity with the test reporting process.
• Very good language and writing skills (verbal & written)
• Familiarity with Selenium tools is advantageous.
• Able to speak confidently and directly to client stakeholders.

Chimera and its pseudo-P2P architecture Chimera is a C-based software library developed at UCSB as an academic endeavor designed to provide a structured peer-to-peer routing platform for the construction of peer-to-peer applications.

The project aims to provide a fast and lightweight implementation of such a system like other prefix-routing protocols (i.e. UCSB’s Tapestry system or Microsoft Research’s Pastry system), that allow for building an application that creates an overlay network with only a bounded number of library calls.
