Deutsche Bank apprentice hiring 2026: Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Jaipur
The Deutsche Bank apprentice programme for 2026-27 runs for 12 months under India's National Apprenticeship Training Scheme. One job listing, R0357981, holds 16 separate roles. They sit in Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Jaipur and one branch in New Delhi. The bank listed it on 30 July 2026. The page was still open when we checked it on 8 October 2026.
Two facts matter first. The bank marks the post as temporary. It also says that finishing the year does not oblige Deutsche Bank to give you a permanent job. So treat each Deutsche Bank apprentice seat as a year of training at a global bank, not a confirmed hire.
How the apprenticeship is set up
Every Deutsche Bank apprentice role shares one frame. The term is 12 months. The scheme is the national apprenticeship scheme run by the government. Each role lists the same support: training, coaching from experts in the team, and a culture of learning.
The listing does not give a stipend, the number of seats, a batch year or the selection rounds. It gives no last date either. If any of these matter to you, watch the official page for updates.
Several roles need shift work. The two Jaipur lending roles need night shifts. The market risk and valuation roles ask you to work different shifts. The legal invoice role in Bangalore may need shifts to cover other time zones.
The 16 roles, grouped by desk
Each role has its own duties. We have grouped them so you can see the real choice in front of you.
Operations and client service
- Transaction banking KYC (Role 1: Bangalore, Pune or Jaipur. Role 16: Mumbai, Bangalore or Jaipur). Daily Know Your Client checks for Investor Services clients. You keep client papers as the rules require and follow up on regulatory reports. You report to an AVP in Mumbai.
- Private Bank lending, Jaipur (Roles 4 and 10). Loan payments, invoices, auto-debit setup and checks in the Loan IQ system. Role 4 also covers garnishment work and needs German at B1 or B2 level. Role 10 asks for lending experience, hands-on Loan IQ skill and knowledge of US loan products.
- Legal invoices, Bangalore (Role 5). You enter and check law firm bills in a legal billing tool. You look for overcharges and fix payment issues.
- Private Bank branch work (Role 12). Customer service, error-free transactions, KYC and anti-money laundering checks, and complaint handling. The location line says New Delhi (Kasturba Gandhi Marg). The text says the team is based out of Mumbai. Check this on the official page before you choose it.
Risk
- Governance reports, Mumbai (Role 2). You prepare papers for management meetings, track actions and turn data into clear risk reports.
- Operational risk, Mumbai (Role 3). You support the team that watches non-financial risks, and help collect and study risk data.
- Market risk, Pune and Mumbai (Roles 6 and 7). You run daily and monthly risk numbers such as VaR and stressed VaR. You check data quality and build reports. The Mumbai role adds VaR backtesting.
- Valuation risk, Mumbai (Role 8). You check the prices of FX, bonds, loans, swaps and other products. You also test market data from sources such as Bloomberg.
Finance, controls and projects
- Private Bank CFO support, Mumbai (Role 9). Month-end work, revenue reports for senior managers, and automation with Power Query.
- Private Bank finance, Mumbai (Role 15). Revenue flash, profit and loss reports, balance sheet checks and audit requests.
- Transaction monitoring, Bangalore (Role 13). You review money laundering alerts for the Asia Pacific region. You close false alarms and pass real concerns up.
- Controls testing, Mumbai or Bangalore (Role 14). You test compliance and financial crime controls and write up what you find.
- Business analysis, Mumbai (Role 11). You turn business needs into specs and build automated workflows in Power Automate.
Degrees and skills accepted
The degree rules change from role to role. Here is what the listing says:
- The KYC roles (1 and 16) want fresh graduates, such as BA, BS or B.Com.
- Roles 2 and 3 want a degree, diploma or certificate in banking, finance, economics or business.
- The Pune market risk role prefers engineering graduates. The Mumbai risk and valuation roles want a graduate or postgraduate degree. Maths, Statistics, MBA or CA is a plus.
- The two Private Bank finance roles want a commerce graduate or an MBA in finance.
- Role 11 suggests a bachelor's in Computer Engineering or Computing.
- Roles 12 and 13 accept a graduate in any stream.
- Role 14 wants a bachelor's in any stream and lists CA training after the Intermediate exam.
Many roles add one more line. They want proof that you can use AI tools to work faster, while checking the output with care.
Matching a role to your degree
There is one apply link for all 16 roles, so go in with a clear target. A B.Com or BBA graduate fits the KYC, finance and CFO roles best. A graduate who is strong in maths should read the market risk and valuation roles. Engineering graduates get a stated preference only in the Pune market risk role. Computer Engineering graduates should look at the business analyst role.
Some roles have a hard filter. Role 4 needs German at B1 or B2. Role 10 needs Loan IQ skill. Both Jaipur lending roles need night shifts. Check these lines first so you do not waste a Deutsche Bank apprentice application.
Preparing for the desk you pick
Build your Deutsche Bank apprentice plan around the tools each role names:
- Excel for every desk. Most roles name Excel. Practise lookups, pivot tables and matching two data sets. Learn Power Query for the governance and CFO roles.
- SQL, VBA and Python for risk. The risk and valuation roles name MS Access, VBA and SQL. Python and SAS are useful extras. Learn what VaR measures and how a backtest works.
- KYC and money laundering basics for operations. Learn what a KYC check covers and what makes a payment look odd. These ideas run through Roles 1, 12, 13 and 16.
- Power Automate for the analyst role. Role 11 names Power Automate, SharePoint and Tableau or Power BI. A small workflow you can show will help.
