• The aforementioned software design responsibility includes creating independent objects of low lifetime cost for testing and certification throughout product development and manufacture. The software writing applies to the entire lifecycle–new programs in both development and production settings for each new product generation, and re-writing or updating old ones when used with these products.
• Develop software at an intermediate level using primarily Python and TCL/TK to further the capabilities of current test systems throughout various manufacturing locations. Including working with groups in product development, marketing and customer service on data interfaces to systems such as PP FEATURE CENTER (note this point is covered in more detail later in this section).
• Perform electrical tests on high-speed cable assemblies: analyze collected data to determine quality-critical features in product design and manufacturing, carry out root cause analysis where necessary; summarize these findings into reports
• Develop and execute test plans, perform software reviews, validate system function; analyse of failure modes and complete documentation to back up printed reports following on from all of the above
• In order to take advantage of the established guidelines and practices, meet these standards and regulations as required by policy and practice. They shall also contribute to both quality and environmental management activities carried out at this facility.
• Draft technical publications for products and test systems, including specifications and guidelines about operation. Both print and electronic media are considered examples of these publications
• Utilize software engineering tools such as version control systems, build tools, and debuggers as part of the process during development
