Six AWS services you are expected to know

The posting names EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, RDS and CloudWatch, then moves on without explaining any of them. Here is what each one does and which duty it attaches to.

• EC2 is the virtual server service. You start a machine inside AWS, put your software on it and run it. The duty about deploying and maintaining applications lands here.

What counts as mandatory versus preferred

Scripting turns up in two places with different wording. The mandatory list names Python, Shell or PowerShell. The automation duty names basic Python, Shell scripting or AWS tools. Python and Shell appear on both lines, while PowerShell appears only on the mandatory list.

PwC also lists five competencies for the PwC AWS Specialist hire: learning agility and adaptability, attention to detail, a collaborative and team oriented mindset, a customer focused approach, and the ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Where the posting contradicts itself on degrees

The job text gives one education line. It reads B.E., B.Tech, MCA, BCA or B.Sc in Computer Science or IT, or an equivalent qualification. A separate structured field on the same posting says something different. Under degrees and field of study required, it names MBA (Master of Business Administration) and Bachelor of Engineering.

The two lines do not match. MCA, BCA and B.Sc are missing from the structured field. An MBA sits in the structured field and appears nowhere in the job text. PwC has not reconciled the two, and we are not going to guess which one a recruiter screens against. Both sit on the same public posting, and both are reported here as PwC published them.
